These are the house rules for Mountain Pup Services in Colorado Springs. Sending a booking request means you have read them. A stay is not confirmed until Merly accepts it. This page is a business policy, not a substitute for advice from your own lawyer.
Vaccines
Dogs must be current on legally required shots before drop-off. In Colorado that includes rabies for dogs over the required age. We also require proof of distemper, parvovirus, and adenovirus (DHPP or equivalent) and bordetella. Bring records to the meet and greet. We can refuse a dog with missing or expired shots.
Overnight kennels
Overnight guests sleep in a kennel. Dogs are also kenneled at feeding. Daytime is in the house and fenced yard, not a kennel run. You accept kennel sleep as part of every overnight stay.
Owner pays all vet bills
You are solely responsible for every veterinary cost that arises before, during, or after the stay. That includes illness, injury, emergency clinic fees, after-hours fees, medications, diagnostics, and follow-up care. Mountain Pup Services does not pay, advance, or insure those bills. If we take a dog to a clinic because we cannot reach you, you authorize that care and agree to pay the clinic directly. You also agree to reimburse any amount a clinic charges to us.
Other dogs in the house
Jaxon and Tobby live here, and other client dogs may be present. Play is supervised, not guaranteed bite-free. Disclose bites, fear, fence-jumping, or dog-dog problems. We can separate dogs or end a stay if a dog is unsafe.
What you must tell us
Written feeding and medication instructions, an emergency contact who can decide if you will be unreachable, and how to reach you on deployment or travel. A dog in heat, a dog that is not house-trained, or a dog that must be the only animal needs to be agreed before the stay.
Limits
Care is in-home boarding, daycare, and walking. We do not guarantee no illness, escape, or injury. You accept the ordinary risks of a shared home with resident dogs, a yard, and a dog door. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions, or for items left with the dog other than a collar. Photo updates are a courtesy, not a monitoring contract.
Not affiliated with the Department of Defense. Abandoned dogs may be held and transferred under local rules if you cannot be reached after the agreed pickup. Holiday fees and the rate card are confirmed in the reply, not by this page.
